Jean Stetz-Puchalski


Jean Stetz-Puchalski, managing principal of Individual Difference at Work LLC, is a certified executive leadership coach and an organizational development consultant with over 15 years of experience helping clients learn, grow, and thrive in the complex world of work. Jean inspires high performing leaders, teams, and their organizations to manage workplace challenges and treat them as opportunities for growth and promotion. Her evidence-based approach enables clients to become more strategic in delivering a higher level of performance at work while benefiting from a life where work-life balance is a priority. Clients gain an appreciation for the individual differences that spark creativity and richness in the way we interact with others and how these differences powerfully and positively impact the life we lead both in and out of work.


Jean holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Industrial Organizational Psychology, a Human Resources Certificate, is a graduate of the Executive Coaching Academy, earned her coach certification through the Institute of Professional Coaching (iPEC) and holds the credential of Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coach Federation (ICF).  Jean is experienced in administering and interpreting the leading assessment tools providing insight into individual, team, and organizational behavior. Jean is certified in the Energy Leadership IndexTM (ELI-MP), Hogan Personality Assessments, the Mayer Savoy Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test (MSCEIT), Whole Brain NBI™ Assessment (Neethling Brain Instrument Assessment), Oasis in the Overwhelm Stress Management Program, Strong Interest Inventory (career assessment), Meyers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator© (MBTI©), the DiSC, the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI), and The Leadership Circle 360 Profile, Manager Edition 360 Profile, Leadership Culture 360 Survey Certification, and Immunity to Change Mapping for Individuals and Teams.

Keeping current in her field, Jean served as president and member so the board of directors the International Coach Federation of Connecticut (ICF-CT). Jean is a member of the ICF Northeast North America Regional Advisory Council (NE RAC) responsible for the support and development the 13 ICF Chapters within the Northeast North America region with a focus on helping Chapter Leaders develop themselves, their teams, and local communities. She is member and past co-chair of the Psychologically Healthy Workplace Program of the Connecticut Center for Organizational Excellence. She has membership in the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), American Psychological Association (APA), Society for Industrial Organizational Psychology (SIOP) and the International Coach Federation (ICF).

With a passion for personal and organizational growth and development, Jean’s involvement extends to her community. She is a bee keeper, Master Gardner, Master Composter and supports local sustainable agriculture. Jean and her husband reside in Fairfield County with Perch and his fellow Guinea fowl and a gaggle of American Buff geese.
