OASIS Evenings for Moms and Dads
On Tuesday, November 15, eight Moms met with Millie to give her ideas for her book-in-progress OASIS in the Overwhelm – for Busy Moms. When their husbands found out about their wives’ meeting, the men requested a meeting of their own. The Dads had their own lively evening on December 5. They asked Millie to have a joint meeting so that the Moms and Dads could learn more about each others’ ideas.

Evening OASIS for Parents and Caretakers

The West Haven Parent Support Group offered an Evening OASIS especially for parents, grandparents, and friends of children with special needs. Millie Grenough demonstrated strategies for caregivers to take care of themselves as they care for others.

FREE YOUR FIRE! Kindle your passion – and use it! was the theme of Millie Grenough’s keynote presentation at the Annual CLN Student Day. 640 student nurses and nursing faculty from Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York and Rhode Island responded with enthusiasm to Millie's invitation to identify their passions, clarify their dreams, and take specific action to actualize their dreams. As one about-to-graduate RN student commented, “Thanks so much for the inspiration. I needed that right now.”

The Social Work Department of Yale-New Haven Hospital, in honor of National Social Work Month, invited Millie Grenough to present her OASIS Strategies to the 100+ social workers at the hospital. In appreciation for their ongoing work, each social worker received a copy of Millie’s OASIS book.

FINDING CALM in the CHAOS – for Nurses

MidState Medical Center, Meriden, CT, Wednesday May 10
To show appreciation to their nurses during National Nurses’ Week, MidState Medical Center invited Millie invited to spend the day at MidState to share the OASIS Strategies with the nursing staff. Millie demonstrated the Strategies for all three nursing shifts, and for the nurse managers.
